Info sought after Police evade

torquay police station google mapsSurf Coast Police are after information after a driver of a ute allegedly evaded officers in Torquay.

Police say they signalled for the driver to pull over along Bell Street around 8pm Friday night after they spotted the ute driving erratically.

The ute allegedly failed to stop and sped off heading north along The Esplanade.

Police say the ute was displaying W-A number plates with the first three digits being “1CU”.

Anyone with information is being urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Meantime police in Anglesea have arrested a South Geelong man after he was allegedly found with drugs.

The 21-year-old was in a vehicle and when checked was reportedly in in possession of 156 grams of Cannabis Heads – in a number of plastic bags.

He will face the Geelong Magistrates Court in November as the arrest formed part of localised tasking on vehicle checks.
