Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a jewellery store in Geelong’s CBD.
They have been told a man, with a gun, went into the Ryrie Street business around 4.30pm Tuesday.
He reportedly assaulted a customer before taking off on a scooter empty handed along Ryrie Street.

No-one was injured in the incident.
Police are asking anyone with information or may have seen the attempted robbery to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
