Plans for battery and solar farms in the Little River community remain unclear… with Member for Western Victoria Bev McArthur calling on the state government to listen to the concerns of locals
The Liberals MP is calling on the Minister for Planning to meet with worried property owners before making a decision
She says nothing has been communicated with the community after they completed a feedback survey and were promised an outcome late last year.
“Despite the serious implications for local residents, the Labor government has shown no interest in meaningful community consultation,” she said.
“No Labor MPs have bothered to visit these Little River properties. I have now been out there three times.
“This is not just negligence; it is a deliberate attempt to advance renewable energy projects without listening to the concerns of those directly impacted and to avoid serious scrutiny. “
