A local health organisation is calling for more investment to help community programs to continue.
Bellarine Community Health says demand for many of its services continues to grow, but funding from the state government for the community health program has not increased for over a decade.
The organisation revealed it had recorded a small surplus during the 2023-24 financial year during its recent Annual General Meeting.
Board chair Fay Agterhuis said Bellarine Community Health was operating in an uncertain financial environment.
“With challenges come opportunities,” she said.
“If we get it right, we will more and more be looked to for the delivery of local and timely health services, services to support people to live well at home for as long as possible.”
