Carl’s Junior in Armstrong Creek has shut its doors.
The store had remained open after their master franchisee went into administration back in July, but has now closed.
A sign left on the door saying they had closed due to circumstance beyond their control, while the store’s Facebook page – which was active and posting a day ago – saying it was now permanently closed.

The business on Torquay cut a lonely figure last night, sitting closed with the lights off as other businesses around the area continued to trade.
Furniture inside the store could be seen wrapped in plastic.
The fate of staff and of other franchises of the American burger chain is unknown.
