Tasmanian minister for transport Eric Abetz said TT-Line continued to play an important role.

“The incoming board will be vital in ensuring the new Spirit vessels are operating in Tasmanian waters as soon as possible,” he said.

“In what is a terrific gain for Tasmania and TT-Line, Mr Kanofski is an outstanding infrastructure expert respected around the nation for his effective work.”

Mr Kanofski is no stranger to transport, having been the former CEO of NSW Roads and Maritime Services.

Jill Rossouw, Jane Bennett, Steve Gilmore, Christopher Oldfield and James Atkins have all joined the board, with Yvonne Rundle remaining a director and Damian Bugg – who was acting chair – remaining on the board.
