A prominent Jewish leader has expressed disgust after a swastika drawn on the ground in a western beach carpark.

The image – which has been illegal in Victoria since 2023 – was reported to police.

Anti-Defamation Commission chairman Dvir Abramovich said the graffiti screamed of hatred.

“The Nazi swastika scrawled in a Geelong carpark is not just an act of vandalism — it’s a malignant wound inflicted on the spirit of our country,” Dr Abramovich told NewsCorp.

“This sickening symbol, a visceral reminder of the darkest depths of human cruelty, has no place in Australia, let alone at a beloved community destination like the Western Beach foreshore.

“Its presence at a popular tourist destination taints a place of joy and community with the stench of division and intolerance.”

A previous case of anti-semitic graffiti was also seen in Northern Geelong last year, with the words “Adolph was right” sprayed onto a power box on Thompson Road in Norlane.
