A man and woman have been arrested after a police chase stretching from Avalon to a small town in Victoria’s western district.
The drama began when the police air wing alerted ground patrols to a car driving erratically on the Princes Highway at aorund 10.20pm on Thursday.
The vehicle was tracked to Hamlyn Heights before a second police helicopter joined the pursuit.

The 114km chase eventually came to a halt in Attrick Estate Road at Laralea, a small town west of Cressy, where two people were taken into custody.
A 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Larralea, are assisting police with their inquiries.
Police say there were no injuries.
