It may have snuck up on you – but it’s only three and a bit months until Christmas.
Geelong Council have announced Saturday, November 30 will be the will begin the Christmas in Geelong program for the year.
“The launch of our Christmas in Geelong program will once again be a joyous and fun event for all ages,” council CEO Ali Wastie said.
“We are thrilled to partner with Denis Walter, a beloved Geelong figure, to deliver a new look and exciting celebration of Christmas.
“Mark Saturday 30 November in your calendars and keep an ear out for an update of what we have in store this festive season.”
Walter will be on hand to light up the floating Christmas tree – marking the tenth anniversary of the tree in Corio Bay.
“Bringing these two iconic events together will ensure a spectacular start to the festive season in our beautiful city by the bay,” Walter said.
