Geelong council will meet tonight to look over last year’s annual report.
The report will analyse the works of council in the 2023-24 financial year, including investment in capital works and strategic priorities.
The city spent close to $10 million on capital works across the finaical year, saying it was invested in “…new and upgraded buildings, swimming pools, parks, roads, footpaths and drainage is highlighted in the report.”
Council says its projects across the year included $51.6 million on renewal works, managing 380 public playspaces, delivering 95,355 hours of early childhood education and managing and restoring 1,466 hectares of protected natural habitat
The meeting will be held in the final week of LGA voting.
