Woman dies in Wyndham blaze

A woman has died in a house fire at Truganina.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a three-storey home on Dover Street, Truganina around 2.30am.

FRV and FRV crews brought the flames under control around 4.30am.

FRV says crews tried to search the inside of the property but were restricted due to the intensity of the blaze.

A neighbouring property was evacuated as a precaution.

Victoria Police later confirmed that a woman – who is yet to be identified – died at the scene.

A community information message was issued at one stage for smoke around Truganina and Williams Landing.

Crews remain on scene.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the blaze are yet to be established.
