Local areas including Greater Geelong and Surf Coast are set to enter danger periods on November 25.
The CFA’s announced most areas across the state’s south-west will go into fire restrictions in the next couple of weeks.
Alex Batty from District Seven says it’s important locals are prepared for fire season.

“Although things look pretty green, that will dry out soon,” he said.
“That’s only going to add to the fire risk for the region.”
He added it will be a risky season ahead.
“We definitely saw a drier than usual winter and autumn,” he said.
“And that just re-enforces how important it is to be prepared.”
