Surf Coast Shire residents will be able to dump any green waste caused by recent winds for free.
The Shire says the Anglesea, Lorne, and Winchelsea transfer stations will be open through until Sunday to allow for cleanup.
Locals are being asked to use their FOGO bins for smaller items, while up to three cubic metres of green waste can be disposed of on any given trip to the tip.
Council clarified for locals that the service is only for green waste from storm damage and is limited to non-commercial customers.
Manwhile a severe weather warning’s still in place for the Otways for damaging winds.
Gusts of up to 100km an hour are likely to be felt this morning as a cold front moves through before easing later in the day.
