An ambulance-backed program teaching students CPR that’s been trialled in Geelong is being expanded.
The trial has been teaching Year 7 students how to save lives, but will now include those in years 8 to 10.
“It’s about teaching our children really important life skills,” Ambulance Victoria’s Danielle North said.

Four local schools have taken part in the 12-month trial that is due to be rolled out across the state, and includes the use of defibrillators.
Last year there were more cardiac arrests in the state than ever before, with paramedics treating 7,361 patients – an increase of six per cent.
