Running has provided another huge boost to the local region with a record breaking Great Ocean Road running festival.
The weekend saw more than 10 thousand runners taking part in the 10 races, with big crowds in the area providing a huge boost to the local region.
The event also raising more than 180 thousand dollars for the Apollo Bay and District Health Foundation.
Great Ocean Road Running Festival Director Brad King says it’s been another incredible event.
“We’re proud to witness Australia’s running boom unite on our stunning Victorian coastline,” he said.
“With over 10,700 passionate participants and eight of our nine events fully booked, the sheer enthusiasm and camaraderie on display was truly remarkable.
“We want to say a big thank you to our community, both on the track and the sidelines, for offering their unwavering support.
“We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in 2025.”
