WorkSafe boss Colin Radford has quit after four years at the helm.
His tenure as chief executive includes the years covering the pandemic.
Mr Radford is being replaced by former Transport Accident Commission (TAC) chief Joe Calafiore, who’ll be acting in the position and who was last month promoted to the chair of the Kardinia Park Trust.
WorkSafe staff were notified of the change at the top of the organisation on Tuesday in an email from board chair Bob Cameron.
“Colin led WorkSafe during one of the most challenging periods in the scheme’s history, including steering us through the COVID pandemic, ensuring our own people and Victorian workplaces were as safe as possible given the extraordinary circumstances,” he said.
Mr Cameron said a search for a new CEO will commence “shortly”.
Mr Radford has previously served as chief of staff to former Victorian Premier John Brumby, and as a director with the TAC.
