Hundreds of people have turned out for a free Comic and Pop Culture fair at Geelong West Town Hall.

Sunday’s event featured businesses from Geelong and across the state, with as many as 700 pop culture fans flocking through the doors across the day.

The fair, organised by local enthusiast Evin Bryant, attracted more than 20 sellers who displayed a variety of products, from comic books and trading cards to pop culture collectibles including videos and DVDs, posters, figurines and specific items from the ever-popular Lego range.

Children sat at tables set up at the rear of the facility, some colouring pictures of their favourite super heroes while others produced their very own comic books to take home.

Tim, of Highton, said he was amazed at the size of the crowd.

“There are hundreds of people here,” he said.

“It shows how big pop culture and nostalgia really are in Geelong.

“We don’t get many opportunities to go to things like this here in our home town.”
