Hundreds of keen runners flocked to Geelong’s waterfront on Thursday morning to join well-known athlete and advocate Nedd Brockmann for a morning run.
The huge crowd gathered at the Giant Sky Wheel around 4am for ‘Nedd’s Milk Run’ as Brockmann brought himself to town to advocate for homelessness charity Mobilise.
Joggers ran around 8km in pitch-black conditions along the waterfront towards Rippleside before looping back around.
Brockmann advertises his runs through social media in the lead up to the morning, and was fresh off a visit to Bonnie Doon on Wednesday morning.
He’ll head to Melbourne for another 4am run on Friday morning before jetting up to Sydney for a Saturday morning session.
Attendees were treated to bottles of ‘Nedds Milk’ which was launched by Brockmann following his ‘uncomfortable challenge’ last year.
He completed the 1,000-mile run at the Sydney Olympic Park, raising around $2.6 million for Australians experiencing homelessness by the time he finished.
Brockmann gained nationwide attention when he became the fastest person to ever run across Australia two years ago.
