It’s believed a fire in Warncoort may have been started by a flicked cigarette butt.
Winchelsea Fire Brigade was called in to help the Birregurra team tackle the running grass fire on Tuesday.
The local brigade took to social media to remind the community small acts can have big consequences.

Firies from Colac, Irrewarra, Beeac and Air Support were also paged to help put out the blaze.
They said it’s important to remember that fire season is far from over.
