The City of Greater Geelong and Surf Coast Council have both received grants through the TAC Local Government Grant Program to investigate the best options for a safe cycling link
Both councils say they want to encourage active transport modes such as cycling to reduce the dependence of cars.

An online survey will be held, allowing locals to provide feedback on their experiences riding between Geelong and the Surf Coast.
The information gathered will be used to understand the current community sentiment and concerns, but also help guide the decision-making process.
