Deakin University has climbed 33 places in the latest QS World University Rankings to be sitting in the top 250.
The Geelong-based university has reached its best result with an overall rank of 233.
Vice-Chancellor Iain Martin said the university’s progress and leadership had been recognised on a global stage.
“What we do matters to our students, our local communities, and Australia,”” Professor Martin said.
“Through our extensive community, industry and academic networks, what we do matters internationally.
“I acknowledge that so much of what has been achieved is the result of the efforts of many across our university.”
The rankings focus on five indicators – research and discovery, employability and outcomes, learning experience, global engagement and sustainability.
