Locals flock to vote early

Geelong and Surf Coast locals are flocking to vote early for this years election.

Data from the AEC showing close to 20 thousand people have already voted in Corangamite in the four days of early voting.

Numbers are slightly lower in Corio, with more than 17 thousand votes cast so far.

Wannon has also seen strong turnout in the voting centres, closing in on 19 thousand votes.

Lalor is closing in on 17 thousand voters through its doors so far.
