Police are worried at the escalation of car thefts across Wyndham.
Four vehicles were stolen from homes in Truganina within the space of 24 hours between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Among them, a $500,000 black Ferrari, with the registration 48800.
Police say offenders broke into the victim’s home and stolen the luxury vehicle, which was later recovered.
Detective Acting Sergeant Anthony Collet said offenders had been sneaking into home that had cars parked in driveways.
“We’ve had multiple burglaries where offenders have broken in, specifically targeting keys to cars then stealing the victims’ cars,” he said.
“.. going on joyrides and subsequently dumping them, so we have definitely seen an escalation in that sort of behaviour.”
