A man’s died following a suspected stabbing attack in Wyndham Vale on Wednesday evening, with the alleged offenders on the run.
Emergency services were called to a bus stop near Haines Drive following reports of an altercation about 8pm.
Police found the victim with wounds believed to be from a stabbing, despite the efforts of responding emergency crews the man died at the scene.
It’s understood two people believed to be the offenders were seen heading along Vaughn Street after fleeing the scene before police arrived.
A crime scene has been set up with detectives to investigate, the victim is yet to be formally identified.
The incident came just a few hours before an alleged assault in Geelong, where a man in his 80’s was found dead inside a Brougham Street hotel.
