A special sight if you were awake in the early hours of Saturday in Little River.
A meteor was visible in the night sky over the area, with a number currently visible as part of a celestial event.
Footage of meteors in the area were posted to social media across the weekend.
The Leonid meteor shower technically peaked last night, however it’s expected you will be able to see more meteors through until December.
“Watching the sky at night, a casual observer may see from 3 to 5 sporadic meteors per hour,” Space Weather Australia said on their website.
“There are several regular meteor showers that occur each year and typical hourly rates may vary from 5 to 50 (above the sporadic background rate).”
