A man will face court after being clocked doing more than 170km in a one hundred zone.
Geelong Highway Patrol has been on the Princes freeway at Lara conducting speed checks on August 18 when a red Renault was seen travelling at a high speed just before 10pm.
The driver was caught at 171 km/h travelling in the 100 km/h zone.

The 18-year-old, who had held his licence just 3 months, had his car impounded for 30 days, and is set to face court at a later day for a number of traffic offences.
So far this year 181 lives have been lost on the roads, four more than at the same time last year.
