Two local women have been charged over an alleged bomb threat in North Geelong.
Police were called to Mackey Street around 9.40am on Thursday March 21, to reports a suspicious package had been dropped off.
It’s alleged the pair entered the business and placed the box at reception, chanting and filming in what’s believed to be a protest.
They were removed from the site by staff and had left the property before police arrived.
The package was assessed and it was found that it did not contain dangerous materials.
A 52-year-old from Grovedale and a 61-year-old from Geelong West have been charge with intended bomb hoax and trespassing.
They’ve been bailed to face Geelong Magistrates’ Court in late April.
