Emergency services have rescued two paddleboarders at Eastern Beach.
A police spokesperson said the pair was located about 500 metres offshore.
“Police attended Eastern Beach to reports of two paddleboarders caught in a rip about 8.45pm on Friday, 10 January,” she said.

The two were pulled from the water around 9.30pm.
They were assessed by paramedics at the scene, thankfully they were uninjured.
