Police call for help over car fires

Police say two car fires in May could be linked.

They’re investigating a fire in Grovedale on on May 25 where a car door was set in fire, and another two days later in St Albans park where another vehicle had it’s door set on fire.

“On Saturday the 25th May at approximately 3:50AM in Kana Street, Grovedale a parked vehicle had its door set on fire,” police said via the Eyewatch geelong page.

“CCTV captured the two persons pictured in the area at the time and police believe they could assist with enquiries.

“On Monday 27th May at approximately 2:20am the pictured white Ford Utility attended an address in Manikato Court, St Albans Park shortly before another vehicle on the street had its door set on fire.

“Investigators would like to speak to anyone who can identify the persons or vehicle pictured. The vehicle appears to have a distinct cage on the back.”

Police have urged anyone who may have any information on these incidents to contact crimestoppers.
