There are set to be a number of rolling road closures this weekend, with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race underway.
Local police will be assisting with the closures, with drivers advised to allow extra time for the journey over the weekend.
The women’s 142km race is scheduled for Saturday, with the men set for a 184km course on Sunday.
Police are encouraging drivers to remain extra vigilant behind the wheel, as the event can also inspire many non-competitors to get out for a ride.
Keep an eye out for cyclists when travelling across the region, even if it’s not near the race route.
