Two staffie terriers are believed to still be alive after a woman was mauled in Winchelsea last week.
The woman was mauled by the dogs in the early hours of Thursday morning, with police working to pry the dogs form the woman when they arrived at the scene.
The two dogs were impounded by the Surf Coast Shire council following the incident.

Surf Coast Shire has confirmed through a spokesperson the dogs had not been put down on the weekend.
The woman is believed to still be in hospital.
