A teenager has been slapped with assault charges over a stabbing incident in Hoppers Crossing last month, which left a man fighting for life and a boy injured.
The incident happened on Mossfiel Drive in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, November 23.
Police were called to the address, arresting nine people after finding a 23-year-old man with life threatening injuries.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition, while a 16-year-old boy also self-presented to hospital a short time later with suspected stab wounds and was later released from hospital.
All nine men arrested were released after being interviewed, with detectives arresting a 19-year-old man from Hoppers Crossing on Monday night after further investigations.
The man was subsequently charged in relation to the alleged stabbing of the 16-year-old boy.
He has been remanded by police and is expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
