Two teenagers who gatecrashed a New Year’s Eve party at a caravan park in Portarlington armed with knives will not face charges.

The 16 and 17-year-olds were searched after police were called to the scene on Tuesday night, following reports a group of youths had gatecrashed the park.

Officers allegedly found and seized two knives on the teens, with the party shut down around 11pm Tuesday.

The boys will be fined for possessing a weapon.

Staff at the caravan park said the DJ party had been a regular event without any issues.

Meantime, a toilet block in Torquay was closed on Wednesday due to vandalism.

The male toilets at Cosy Corner were extensively damaged over New Year’s, with repairs underway.

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority says crews also spent Wednesday morning cleaning up rubbish, including broken glass, across the coast.
