A 73-year old bike rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in Belmont.
Police say a car was at the intersection of Belle Vue Avenue and Helena Street when the cyclist was struck around just around 2:50pm.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by police, who say the driver of the car stopped at the scene.
A short time later a car is reported to have collided with a motorbike in Leopold, around 3:30pm.
The 16-year-old Leopold boy, who is not believed to have a licence, was flown to the hospital after the incident at the intersection of the Bellarine Hwy and Melaluka Rd.
