Warning that cliff could fall

Concerns a section of cliff in Anglesea could give way.

A crack has been identified between Anglesea Surf Lifesaving Club and Point Roadknight, with concerns it could fall in the future.

Locals and guests alike are being warned to avoid the cliffs and caves and stick to the established tracks.

“This area is at an increased risk, and we expect a section of the cliff (approximately 15m3) may fall in the future,” Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority said on Facebook.

“Demons Bluff beach in Anglesea remains permanently closed due to cliff safety risks.

“Our Coastal Reserves team is on the ground, implementing safety measures from our cliff response plan.”
