One more day of hot weather before some respite for Geelong and the surf coast.
Today is forecast to see another day in the low to mid 30s with more thunderstorms a possibility.
We’re then set for nearly a week in the 20s before the heat returns on Monday.
However the region is still recovering from the storm on Sunday night.
Target Rifle Geelong has been forced to launch a GoFundMe in response to damage, the club saying their roof had been destroyed by the event, with them being unable to to fund repairs on their own.
The region today continuing to clean up from the event.
Meanwhile council will open the Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre today for the free disposal of green waste.
Council say the Geelong Resource Recovery Centre won’t be able to take green waste.
Locals are also being urged to use their green bins.
