Geelong and the surf coast has continued to be battered with strong winds overnight.
Geelong racecourse reporting 65 kilometre winds at 1 o’clock this morning, with Aireys Inlet peaking at 80 kilometres around 9 last night.
But it was Avalon copping the worst, recording 90 kilometres at 1.30 this morning.

And it is going to continue into today.
A severe weather warning is in place for the region for today, with an expectation of more strong winds.
Winds have reached as high as 90km in the past 24 hours across the area.
We are again being advised to stay inside where possible and to check for loose hazards around our homes, properties and worksites.
