Investigations are continuing after a woman was mysteriously found seriously injured on the Barwon River.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Barrabool Road and Riverview Terrace in the early hours of Saturday, after the woman was found by a passerby.
Police believe the woman was seen hitch-hiking before she was found.

She was taken to hospital and has undergone surgery.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to help determine how the woman was injured.
