A woman who died following a collision at Mount Cottrell has been identified as as a 42-year-old from the Wyndham suburb of Tarneit.
She was at the wheel of a Holden Cruz when it collided with a Holden Commodore on Faulkners Road just after 9am on Tuesday.
She was flown to hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Commodore, a 45-year-old female from Hoppers Crossing, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meantime a road worker has died after being pinned between a utility and a truck at Dandenong North.
The 55-year-old from Ferntree Gully was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died several hours later.
The 51-year-old truck driver was not injured.
The deaths take the number of lives lost on Victorian roads this year to 42, 13 fewer than at this time in 2023.
