Wyndham woman four times over

tarneit impound wyndham eyewatchA Wyndham woman is facing drink and drug driving charges after allegedly being caught over four times the legal limit in Tarneit on Sunday morning.

Officers pulled the 41-year-old over around 11.45 am, after they noticed the driver reportedly tailgating them in an unregistered vehicle – suspecting she was affected by alcohol.

After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was conveyed to the Werribee Police Station where she allegedly returned a positive breath test reading of 0.204.

Police say the driver also returned a positive drug test for methylamphetamine.

The driver was issued an immediate suspension of her driver’s licence for 12 months and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of over $1,000.

She will face the Werribee Magistrates Court on charges of drink driving, driving whilst having an illicit drug in her system and multiple other driving offences.
