Officers pulled the 41-year-old over around 11.45 am, after they noticed the driver reportedly tailgating them in an unregistered vehicle – suspecting she was affected by alcohol.
After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was conveyed to the Werribee Police Station where she allegedly returned a positive breath test reading of 0.204.
Police say the driver also returned a positive drug test for methylamphetamine.
The driver was issued an immediate suspension of her driver’s licence for 12 months and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of over $1,000.
She will face the Werribee Magistrates Court on charges of drink driving, driving whilst having an illicit drug in her system and multiple other driving offences.
