Drysdale has leapfrogged into second place on the BFNL ladder after beating Newcomb by 43 points on Saturday at Grinter Reserve, but it might be short lived as they come up against the unbeaten Torquay this weekend.

Play went with the wind, with only one point in it at the first change, then Drysdale kicked five goals to Newcomb’s two points in the second term.

The play reversed in the third quarter, with the Power kicking four goals to the Hawks’ two points.
