“Damo comes to us right in the peak of his powers,” the statement read.

“Incredibly professional, durable, dedicated and competitive, we can look forward to Damo implementing the standards he has driven these last eight years at BHFC.

“We can also look forward to Damo’s beautiful ball use, tremendous work rate, (and) his ability to break the lines, kick goals and deliver in big games.

“Damo will also help our midfield group in an assistant coaching role as he takes his leadership to the next level.”

McMahon’s arrival follows the returns of VFL-listed duo Zach Walter (Port Melbourne) and Flynn Young (Werribee) from Newtown & Chilwell, as well as premiership-winning brothers Ryan and Brad Harvey.

He is the fourth star to depart from Anthony Costa Oval since the end of the season, with Kade Chalcraft (Shepparton United) and Sam Dobson (Koroit) returning to their home clubs.

The Saints have also confirmed to K rock Football ruckman Nick Minchin won’t return in 2025.
