Winchelsea has moved quickly to replace departed coach Christian Shaw with former mentor Brendan Forssman to guide the Blues’ fortunes in 2024.
As K rock Football revealed exclusively on March 30, Shaw had stepped away after two years in the role due to work commitments.
The highly-respected Forssman took charge of Winchelsea from 2017-21.
He will have his son Hayden and Jarrod Winzer as his assistants.
“He holds a very extensive coaching background, with a wealth of coaching experience and holds a reputation as one of the best development coaches in the region and all round great person,” a statement on Facebook said.
Winchelsea opens its season with a Saturday trip to Godfrey Street for a meeting with beaten 2023 grand finalist Thomson.
