Anakie’s impressive off-season of recruiting appears set to continue, with Andrew Boseley firming to join the recent GDFNL struggler.
First-year coach Jayke Mawson hopes a strong link with Boseley, who kicked 238 goals in 100 games for South Barwon, will help secure the key forward’s signature.
“That should hopefully happen in the next few days – dot some i’s and cross some t’s,” Mawson told K rock’s Beyond the Boundary podcast. “That’s exciting, too.
“After he got back (to Geelong) after being delisted by Hawthorn, he lived with me as well.
“I said, ‘You’ve got to come play for me now because I put a roof over your head for a few years’.”
Anakie has already added more than ten players to its list, headlined by former Western Bulldogs premiership player and Geelong small forward Luke Dahlhaus.
