Bell Post Hill’s busy off-season is continuing, with the GDFNL club confirming the return of two premiership greats.

Caleb Bacely and Nick Costello have returned to Myers Reserve after spending 2024 with Great Western in the Mininera and District League alongside fellow Panther icons Tim Barton, Dyl Witney, Ren Lovitt and Beau McNamara.

Baceley is a six-time premiership player at Bell Post Hill, while Costello was part of three flags during the club’s period of dominance that yielded seven titles in eight years from 2010-17.

Bacely and Costello are not the only premiership Panthers finding their way back to the club, with Liam Meyrich and Danny Gray, who were part of the 2017 flag, back in red and blue.

Also returning are Luke Mann, who played alongside Meyrich at Tarneit, and Jordy Sabell.

Former St Joseph’s and Queenscliff player Andrew Casey has signed as assistant coach to Ash Witney after playing with Nullawil in the North Central League for the past four seasons, and he’s brought Matt Hogan with him.

GDFNL reserve grade best-and-fairest Adam Beath has crossed from the Belmont Lions, while South Barwon under-18 captain Lachie Verschuren has also moved to Bell Post Hill.
