North Shore won’t be able to call on the services of Kobe Annand in 2025 following the talented ruckman’s decision to join SANFL club Central Districts.
The Ocean Grove product spent three years with the Seagulls and played 32 games for reigning VFL premier Werribee.
Annand featured in the Tigers’ 2023 grand final loss to Gold Coast. However, he missed out on being part of the club’s first premiership after failing to win his spot back after being suspended for an incident in the qualifying final win over Geelong.
“Kobe is a high-quality individual who thrives on physical contests,” Central Districts football boss Mark Ross said.
“He’s constantly analysing his game and looking for ways to beat his opponent.”
Annand will continue a family legacy at the Bulldogs, with his grandfather Rod O’Connor playing with the club in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The 23-year-old is unlikely to be the last GFNL-aligned Werribee ruck to head across the border.
St Joseph’s is resigned to losing Team of the Year big man Oli Northam across the border to South Adelaide, where he played four games during the 2024 season.
