St Mary’s has turned to former East Geelong coach Ben Boseley to fill its vacant co-coach role.
As first reported on krockfootball.live on GFNL grand final day, Boseley will share the position with Luke Rayner.
He replaces Glenn Keast, the longest-serving coach in GFNL history, who stepped down following the Saints’ first semi-final exit.
Boseley’s appointment was confirmed on Wednesday night.
After playing his early juniors at East Geelong, Boseley joined South Barwon as a teenager and went on to become a two-time premiership player at South Barwon.
He also played at Geelong Amateur before making his name as a coach at Colac and District club Birregurra, guiding the Saints to flags in 2016 and 2017.
Boseley took charge of East Geelong in 2021 and took the Eagles to the top of the ladder in 2022 before they exited the finals in straight sets.
Meanwhile, St Mary’s has confirmed star Brayden Ham will remain at the club despite interest from at least two Bellarine clubs.
More to come
