New Lara coach Brett Henderson has again tapped into his extensive VFL contacts to land the signature of Werribee-listed midfielder Daly Andrews.
The recently-turned 25-year-old played 41 games with Williamstown when Henderson was involved at the Seagulls before joining the Tigers last year.
Andrews made 11 appearances for the reigning premier but didn’t feature in their finals campaign.
He also played two matches for GDFNL club Werribee Centrals last year after crossing from Williamstown CYMS.
“Daly has made his name as a tough, athletic and powerful inside midfielder who can hit the scoreboard,” Lara said in a statement on social media.
“More importantly, Daly is a fantastic person and fits into the new mould that we are building at Lara.
“We welcome Daly on board and cannot wait to see him in the blue and white when he is not required at Werribee.”

Andrews, who represented Vic Metro at under-18 level during his three seasons with Talent League club Western Jets, joins former North Melbourne big man Majak Daw and former Williamstown gun Darby Henderson as handy additions at Bisinella Oval.
Lara has practice matches against Williamstown CYMS, Melton Centrals, and Point Cook before facing St Albans at Concept Oval in Round 1 of the GFNL season on April 12.
