Colac has tonight announced former St Kilda star Seb Ross as co-coach of the club,
The Tigers have beaten out Leopold for the signature of the 31-year-old, who was delisted after 211 games in 13 seasons with the Saints last month.
Ross was confirmed as joining the club at Colac’s presentation night this evening.
It is understood the Tigers are yet to finalise who will share the role with Ross.
Drafted by St Kilda from the North Ballarat Rebels with pick 25 in the 2011 National Drarft, he made his debut in the final round of the 2012 season.
Ross won his Trevor Barker Medals in 2017 and 2019 and was named in the All-Australian squad in 2017.
He played 13 games this, averaging 17 disposals per game and polling four Brownlow Medal votes.
Former coach Rowan McSparron announced in July he would be stepping down after six years in charge.
Colac missed the GFNL finals for the first time since 2016 this year.
Ross becomes the fifth new appointment for 2025, following Rick Munn (St Albans), Brett Henderson (Lara), Steve Johnson (Newtown & Chilwell) and Ben Boseley (St Mary’s co-coach).
More to come.
