Former star to share Colac job

Former Colac star Jason Armistead has been appointed co-coach of the Tigers.

Armistead will share the role with recently retired St Kilda midfielder Seb Ross.

A multiple premiership player at South Barwon, Armistead coached Anglesea in the Bellarine before being appointed the inaugural coach of the Geelong Falcons when the-then TAC Cup introduced a girls competition in 2017.

With a team featuring the likes of Geelong star Nina Morrison, Sydney captain Lucy McEvoy, and midfield gun Liv Purcell, the Falcons won the 2018 premiership.

Most recently, Armistead was an assistant coach at Modewarre and was set to lead the Warriors reserves in 2025.
